Almost 2 weeks
I left Canada almost two weeks ago. It seems like so much longer. The memory card in my camera still has pictures of Canada on it, but it seems as though it were a different life. It seems so foreign, far-off and distant, foggily remembered, like a dream. I'm still in Busan but I'm going back to Seoul tonight or tomorrow, for a little while. I think I may be starting to regret the haste with which I came to Korea, not the trip itself though. Things could have been so much easier with a little patience. I am glad I am here, regardless of the circumstances.
It's hot still, and time can't pass fast enough to spare me the agony of the August weather. I am going to start looking for a job soon. I need some sort of plan, seeing as how its been almost two weeks and I am getting low on money. I'll try to get all my pictures posted while I'm back in Seoul, I have like four hundred from Hillside to last night at the game room. It's fun here, there are alot of cool foreigners to hang out with, and plenty of things to do. There's western food around, but its cheaper to eat Korean. Last night after the beach a bunch of us went to a dak galbi place, it was awesome, pretty spicy though. Korean food uses alot of red chili pepper for flavour, but this stuff was wicked, it was chicken and rice and cabbage and these little rice balls and cheese and sauce all fried and mixed together on the pan in the middle of the table. Some Korean food is wicked, some other stuff is not so cool, like the dried squid.
Right now six months seems like such a long time to me. Before I left I didn't give a thought to it being a long time, but now that I'm here and I have to figure out what to do with myself for so long, I worry.
